Four Ways To Increase Your Energy

Do you feel more tired then usual? Sometimes people who over work themselves feel more energetically drained though out the day. If you have a lot on your mind, or are prone to worrying you may be extra tired. There are certain things you can do to wake up and feel more alive.

Your health should be a priority when you are feeling stressed out and overwhelmed but most of us don’t think about taking care of ourselves when there are bigger tasks at hand.

Take time to put yourself first and you and your future self-will thank you. Here are four ways to increase your energy in a healthy way.

Shake it Up

Get up and move your body. If you are stuck at work late, perhaps you are working on a big project try to stand up stretch, walk around the office, to just get your body moving. The blood will begin to circulate through your entire body and you will naturally feel more energized. Out bodies were made to move, the more you move it the better it will feel.

Go Outside

Sometimes taking a mini recess is the best cure for a stressful day. Step outside and go into nature. Weather it is a breath of fresh air or a walk on the beach, your entire mode will instantly uplift. You can recalibrate your energy level by spending time in nature.

Socialize

Sometimes when you are feeling down and out spending time in a larger group can help uplift your mood.  Whether you go to a rock concert or a political rally, the social experience can help pull you out of a funk. You can watch your mood improve by focusing on something other then the situation that is dragging you down. Sometimes we just need a little refresher, and friends and family can help us see perspective.

Refresh

If you are feeling tired, lethargic, stressed or overwhelmed try splashing some cool water on your face. The splash can help you feel more balanced and refreshed. The same way the cold splash can reinvigorate your face; you can use mouthwash to refresh your mouth. The mouthwash instantly freshens your breath and helps make you feel more awake. Choose a flavor like cinnamon or mint and you will feel even more refreshed. Doctor Andrew Thompson, a dentist in Oregon, recommends using mouthwash after every meal, this can help wash away bacteria buildup and help you feel more fresh.
