How to Look and Feel Younger


Getting older is not something many adults look forward to. If you want to both look and feel young, then you need to make some changes and sacrifices when you are still young. 

There are several things you can do, but using facial cosmetics, eating right, getting regular exercise, and exercising your mind have been proven to be the most effective. You must be consistent with all of these things, but also be open to further ideas too.

1. Facial Cosmetics

Instead of having to go through cosmetic surgery, purchase a few facial products that will cost a whole lot less. For instance, put on a face mask every night before you go to bed, and that will help you remove wrinkles. There are also face creams you can apply before you wash up in the shower, which will prevent dead skin from showing up on the surface of your face. Then, be sure to wash up, so that acne is kept at a distance.

2. Eat Right

It is very important to eat right every day. To remind yourself, you may want to design a specific diet or meal plan. In that diet or plan, you should include every one of the food groups and avoid dessert as much as possible. Emphasize fruits and veggies over all other food groups, and be sure to eat lots of fiber. If you must have dessert, have a low fat smoothie or eat some fruit salad. Not only is it important to eat right, you should also drink right. That means that you need to cut out all sodas and incorporate water in your daily regimen as much as possible.

3. Exercise

Exercise will help you stay in shape as long as you are consistent. You have to design an exercise routine and test it for about a month or two to see if it works. Be sure to keep water with you at all times to make sure you are hydrated. You may want to lift weights or do some aerobics. Another type of exercise that would really relax you would be yoga, and you can likely take some classes at your local gym. You could also purchase an instructional DVD, so you can learn how to do yoga on your own schedule, at your own pace.

4. Exercise your Mind

Exercising your mind can also make you look and feel younger, because your mind will start to be quicker. For instance, by taking a class or two here and there, you are keeping your mind working all the time, and you’re more able to remember arithmetic or spelling if you need it. Playing memory games, puzzles or brainteasers will also keep your mind active, and will work even when you reach the last stages of life, so consider playing brain busters or doing crosswords too.

After spending a few years exercising, eating right, exercising your mind, and using facial cosmetics you will feel like a completely different person. To help stay consistent, design a schedule each month to figure out which exercises you will do and the days you are going to do them. You should also make a separate schedule that will act as a menu for your new diet. You’ll be feeling and looking younger before you know it!
